Green Office Park has achieved its second GREENSHIP Existing Building Platinum recertification, reinforcing the importance of existing buildings in advancing energy efficiency and national sustainable development targets.

The certificate and plaque were presented by Iparman Oesman, Secretary General of Green Building Council Indonesia, to Rizky Saputra, Building Maintenance and Improvement Section Head of Sinar Mas Land. The ceremony took place on Monday, 9 February 2026, at the VIP Lounge Marketing Office, Sinar Mas Land BSD City.

Strengthening Performance in Operational Buildings

Most urban activities in Indonesia take place in buildings that have been operating for years. Improving the performance of these existing assets, particularly in energy efficiency, directly reduces resource consumption and environmental impact.

Through the GREENSHIP Existing Building scheme, GBCI evaluates how building owners manage operations and maintenance over time. The system requires measurable performance data and encourages continuous improvement rather than one time achievement.

GREENSHIP Existing Building applies to buildings that have operated for at least one year. The recertification process reassesses actual performance in energy use, water management, indoor environmental quality, and overall building environmental management.

Platinum Maintained with Strong Energy Performance

Green Office Park 9 maintained its Platinum rating with a total score of 85 points under the GREENSHIP Existing Building Platinum recertification process.

The building achieved full compliance in the Energy Efficiency and Conservation category. This result confirms that consistent operational management and structured monitoring systems can deliver significant outcomes in existing office buildings.

From a design and location perspective, Green Office Park 9 benefits from integrated public transportation access and a façade strategy responsive to solar exposure. These features support occupant comfort while reducing energy demand.

“Existing buildings play a central role in improving energy efficiency across the building sector. Through GREENSHIP Existing Building recertification, GBCI encourages building managers to sustain and improve performance through measurable operational management,” stated Ir. Ignesjz Kemalawarta, M.B.A., GP., Chairperson of Green Building Council Indonesia.

Long Term Commitment to Sustainable Operations

This achievement demonstrates that sustainability in the built environment requires ongoing management and performance verification. Green Office Park 9 provides a reference for other office buildings seeking to strengthen energy efficiency and environmental performance through structured operational practices.

GBCI continues to promote GREENSHIP recertification as a practical instrument to support long term sustainability outcomes in Indonesia’s existing building portfolio.
