Jakarta, 19 December 2024 – DEA Tower, located in the heart of Mega Kuningan, has achieved Gold in the prestigious GREENSHIP Existing Building certification from the Green Building Council Indonesia (GBC Indonesia). This recognition highlights DEA Tower’s exceptional commitment to sustainability and operational excellence, even after over years of operation. 

The certification, awarded under the GREENSHIP Existing Building, evaluates constructed buildings' operational management and maintenance practices. DEA Tower’s ability to meet the rigorous standards for green building certification underscores its dedication to sustainable practices and environmental responsibility. 

A standout achievement for DEA Tower is its top score in the Energy Efficiency and Conservation category. By implementing energy-saving technologies and effective energy management strategies, the building has significantly reduced its carbon footprint while lowering operational costs. 

In the Water Conservation category, DEA Tower also demonstrates the impact of efficient water management through innovative technologies and sustainable practices. These efforts benefit both the environment and the building’s occupants.

DEA Tower’s achievements extend beyond energy and water efficiency. High scores in categories like Appropriate Site Development, Material Resource and Cycle, and Building Environmental Management reflect its holistic approach to sustainability, improving resource responsibility and environmental care. 

The certification ceremony was held on 19 December 2024 at DEA Tower. The event, described as intimate and warm was attended by key figures, including Mr. Sugijono Budhihardjo as the Director of PT Suryamas Centraperkasa, Mrs. Indrawati as the representative from the building owner, Mr. Prasetyoadi as the Vice Chairperson of GBC Indonesia, Mr. Tito Aribowo as the Executive Director of GBC Indonesia, Mrs. Prisca Winata as the GREENSHIP Professional, and several other notable attendees. 

This certification positions DEA Tower as a benchmark for sustainable practices in Indonesia, proving that even long-standing buildings can adopt green building principles and achieve meaningful environmental impact.
